When I was growing up my grandma used to cook and bake all of the time.  I was the baker in the family along with Grandma.  Before she passed away, she hand wrote her recipes for me and I am going to share them with you.  Some of them are left up for interpretation so I will do my best.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 uncooked pie shell

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Mix all ingredients together with a mixer.

  • Put in uncooked pie shell.
    Grandma Brown's Pecan Pie - Side Two
  • Cook slowly for about 1 hour.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
