Grandma Brown's Butterscotch Pie

Butterscotch is one of the few flavors that completely takes me back to being a kid. This pie is absolutely scrumptious!

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 baked pie crust
- whipping cream
Brown butter in a skillet - this is important for the flavor.
Add brown sugar and milk.
Next add a thickening of flour and egg yolks combined.
Cook until thick.
Add vanilla.
Pour in pie shell and top with whipping cream.
Refrigerate.
