First 50 taco lovers will say aloha to Free Tacos for a Year on Oct 30th

UPDATE: NEW OPENING DATE IS NOVEMBER 13TH – MORE INFO

Jimmy Hula’s “surf-shack” themed restaurant will open it’s doors to their first St. Petersburg, FL location on Monday, October 30, 2017. In celebration, the award-winning burger and taco joint will honor their first 50 guests with Free Tacos for a Year. This Hawaiian-flavor infused concept brings with it a wide array of craft beers, cocktails, and brunch features to keep their lunch and dinner crowds hydrated and happy.

To welcome the community for their Grand Opening, Free Tacos for a Year will be awarded to the first 50 guests through the door on Monday, October 30th at 11 am. The 4000 sq. ft. St. Petersburg location will also feature a 40-seat, dog friendly patio and live beach music Fridays and Saturdays. The local Facebook page will host more details as they come.

“As a locally owned business, we are very excited to bring this Orlando-based concept to St. Petersburg. We hope the folks of this community enjoy it as much as we do, and we hope they support us as much as we hope to support this community,” said Pat Katz, partner of Island Times Restaurants dba Jimmy Hula’s. “We couldn’t be more excited to be opening our second location. The 35+ job opportunities that will be created from our restaurant is one of the many positives that our opening brings,” added partner, Ron Causby. As part of a pre-grand opening event, all beverage and alcohol proceeds will go to support the local chapter of Total Baseball Sports Academy Youth.

The location will boast a full-service bar with 24 craft beer taps, and a dine-in or takeout counter service. The globally influenced menu offers eighteen unique tacos, including a signature taco called the Johnny Utah with smoked pulled pork, bbq sauce, mac n cheese, pickles, bacon and scallions that you have to try to believe the one of a kind flavors. Salads, burgers, bowls and snackables feature something for everyone – even the 12 years and younger chicken fingers for the little dudes.

The St. Petersburg Jimmy Hula’s is located at 8123 4th Street North, St Petersburg, FL 33702. They can be reached directly at the restaurant (727) 202-7383. Owners include Pat Katz and Ron Causby; Tony Marasco acting Managing Partner.
