Ichicoro’s Future St. Pete Location to Be Old Station House Space

With all of the “fake news” these days, we have been struggling with publishing this for months. Since I live next to Station House, it’s hard to miss that the former restaurant space in the basement has been completely gutted.

We made inquiries in February 2017 with both Station House and Ichicoro. Neither would go on record, but Ichicoro’s comment did confirm that they are coming to St. Pete, and both they and Station House said it was “too early” and that nothing was “official”. Neither of them confirmed or denied that Ichicoro would be going into the Station House space.

UPDATE JUNE 1, 2017: After publication, several people familiar with the matter confirmed that Ichicoro will in fact be opening in the former Station House space.

Where the Station House Bar Used to Be

We were originally told from a restaurant industry source that “I heard others talking about it” as the source walked through the kitchen.

Following up on May 9th, a phone call to Station House was not returned, and Ichicoro via Facebook Messenger said, “…we still aren’t in a position to chat about it just yet.”

So, it’s unsubstantiated, off-the-record, but whoever goes into the former Station House space, we wish them the best of luck.
