The Wooden Rooster – Fantastic New Gem In Downtown St Pete

I went to lunch today with some of my colleagues from Premier Sotheby’s at our new next door neighbor… The Wooden Rooster. Extremely friendly staff, familiar faces (Barbara Walsh) and unbelievably fresh food. Opened by Jeremy Duclut, of Cassis, only yesterday, I must say, you would never know they were that new.12249902_10153739653278373_4536717794022253168_n The first picture is of the Apple Melt sandwich in a Buckwheat crepe (Lauren also had this in a gluten free crepe). Both Cathyand Lauren loved it! I tasted Lauren’s and could not believe the crepe was gluten free…the favors melded together very well.

Next is my “create your own” sandwich which consisted of smoked pork, tomatoes, avocado, spinach, cheddar and arugula all in a toasted baguette. It was amazing…if I do say so myself.

Next, Jennifer had the Swamp Grass in a gluten free crepe. She said that the hummus in the sandwich was amazing.

Perla had the cubanito and left not a bite on her plate. Actually nobody did. (Sorry for the blurry photo).

Not pictured is the Caprese had by Dorene which she said was just so fresh and awesome. All in all a terrific addition to #‎dtsp.
