Green Springs Bistro in Safety Harbor Changes Hands to St Pete Locals

Green Springs Bistro in Safety Harbor is changing hands to St Pete Locals Tom Golden, Richard Alday and Michael Stewart who are the owners of The Lure. They will keep much the same but will be changing some menu items and will rename the restaurant The Kitchen & Bar at Green Springs.

The original owners, longtime friends of Tom and Richard, are Paul Kapsalis and Kris Kubik who are fulfilling a dream to open a restaurant in the Keys, specifically Sugarloaf Key. They have owned Green Springs Bistro for 18 years and will surely be missed by the community.

Richard said they will be making some exciting new changes such as adding an addition to the restaurant which will also include a full bar. For now, it will stay beer and wine only until the new space is complete. But they are striving to keep the current vibe and great food alive.

Paul’s brother, Chef Jason Rodis, will stay and take over the kitchen keeping part of the original family still there. Jason was the Executive Chef at The Lure Tampa.

Congratulations to The Lure team for continuing to grow and expand. You are making St Pete proud.
