Plant + Love Ice Cream: A Place for Vegans to Scream for Ice Cream

Plant + Love Ice Cream is a vegan ice cream shop in St. Pete that makes it possible for vegans to also scream for ice cream. This plant-based ice cream shop is located on Central Ave by Grassroots Kava House and The German Knodle. The atmosphere isn’t what you’d expect from a traditional ice cream shop. As soon as you walk in, you gain a feeling for the overall vibe; mellow and relaxed. Plant + Love Ice Cream shares their good vibes and 100% plant-based ice cream with the community and we are all here for it (vegan or not).

They serve generous scoops of their vegan ice cream in vegan waffle cones, by cup, a flight of 5 flavors or you can make an ice cream sandwich with vegan cookies. They also have CBD oil available to add to your scoop. See their menu prices below.

They have multiple rotating creative flavors like Toasted Coconut, Cherry Cobbler, Salted Caramel Cashew, Mint Chip, Cookie Butter, and many more. I was incredibly surprised by the different flavors to choose from. Don’t be afraid to try a few first!

They make their ice cream with organic coconut milk and simple ingredients, with no artificial colors or flavoring. The ice cream is very creamy, rich and fresh. You can easily tell it’s homemade.

On the first visit, we got an ice cream flight of five scoops of different flavors, which was a great idea to try out a few different options. This is perfect for sharing.

Each scoop was so delicious, creamy and fresh. We got Pistachio, Cookie Butter, Toasted Coconut, Cherry Cobbler and Salted Caramel Cashew. My favorites were the Cookie Butter and Salted Caramel Cashew! They were SO good and very flavorful.

The next visit I got two very generous scoops on a vegan waffle cone. This was the perfect mix of Cookies n’ Cream and Almond Crunch. I would absolutely recommend the Almond Crunch if you like cinnamon. It tastes like fall, and since we live in Florida, we can enjoy a sweet cold treat year-round!

They do a great job of posting their new flavors on their Facebook and Instagram pages, so give them a follow to check out what they have available. Grab a cone, cup or flight and snap a photo in front of one of their cool murals- be sure to tag them!
